The word “Urushi” means Japanese lacquer in Japanese which is a viscous liquid that exudes from under the bark of the lacquer tree.And this lacquer has been utilized on artistically crafted items since early
time in Japan.
The blade is made of 15-layers white steel Damascus and finished with Hamaguri-style edge.(convex-edge) and handle is made of Oak wood finish wrapped with “Urushi” lacquer.
