Kanetsune Special made Yanagiba

This is one of special made Kanetsune Yanagiba Hocho. Unlike other Yanagiba hocho, this one has a sword-shape tip that might make knife enthusiasts think of traditional Japanese Samurai swords. The bolster is made from dark-colored buffalo horn shaped into octagon so as its Magnolia-made handle. This Yanagiba is not for everybody, only for some people who appreciates the beauty of Japanese cutleries. You can get what you see in the picture.

◆The one shown here is the 240mm version. ◆This is a Honkasumi type knife.

Its blade is forged from two kinds of steel. (by joining the soft Jigane to the harder hagane.) After forging, hammering the Hagane becomes the cutting edge of the blade. (A single-beveled blade)

◆If you would like to order a Saya (a scabbard), please place an order when you order the knife. Due to a slight difference in each knife, we do not sell a Saya separately. The Saya for each knives are hand-made of all Magnolia.
